The words in that statement keep ringing true. I have to tell you, the power of positive thinking, the power of thought, the law of attraction - these keep popping up in my life in various places. "Signs?" I think so, it must be more than merely coincidence...

The Celestine Prophecy

I kept hearing of this book. Then my Mom told me I needed to read it. I totally forgot about it and was at the book store. All the books were lined up with the bindings showing, I did not know what I wanted, but had an urge to go to the store. Then BOOM 'The Celestine Prophecy" was the ONLY book on the shelf showing the cover. At that moment I remembered how it kept popping into my daily experience and then how my Mom told me to read it. I read it within 2 days. An amazing book on the evolution of the human thought process!

Ester and Jerry Hicks

Several years ago my 4 year old was being quite a challenge, my Mom had sent me a CD series from an Abraham/Hicks presentation she had gone to and a segment was talking about someone with a 4 year old girl, she thought it would help. At that time I listened to disc 6, segment 4 and applied it to my life. It changed my whole life with my daughter - an amazing turn!

A year ago...

After reading The Celestine Prophecy I was drawn to the old stack of CDs. I decided to listen to the entire CD series and WOW there it was, all about the Law of Attraction. I then purchased 2 of Ester and Jerry Hicks Books "Ask and It is Given" and "The Power of Deliberate Intent". WOW WOW.

Positive Thought

This is popping up in magazine articles, movies, random emails. I could not get away from it if I wanted to (I don't!). The Universe is telling me something, and I AM finally listening!

The Secret

A few months ago I got a random email to watch a movie on Google, I clicked the link. It was being called "The Corporate Secret". I was GLUED to the entire hour and twenty six minutes. I laughed, I cried - then Esther Hicks was on the movie! WOW WOW WOW Another 'sign'. After watching this movie I was in awe. It's all within reach, you have to BELIEVE to ACHIEVE. There truly is no one stopping anyone from achieving what they want. It is all within.

The kicker...

We hear it all our lives. "You can do it if you apply yourself." "You can do it if you believe you can." "Nothing is stopping you but you." It is like 'yea, yea yea' to most people. It was to me. I was like "if I can, then how come I can't, how come I don't, where is it?" We don't see us achieving, so we think we are not. What we don't realize is that WE are stopping achievement from happening with negative thoughts.

So then...

After watching this movie, I start hearing about it everywhere. Yahoo Groups, Message Boards, even a local Meet Up group. WOW WOW WOW WOW I found the website, http://www.thesecret.tv. I BOUGHT the movie a few days ago. I will watch it again and again and again. My one viewing from someone who put it up for free on Google is changing my life. I can't wait to immerse myself in it again and absorb more.

This may sound so...

...far fetched. But let me tell you, I am finding that all those who are at the top of this company. At the top of most companies know this 'Secret'. Not in the movie sense of it, in the physical and reality side of it. The movie brings up many, many HUGE names in history and their FAMOUS quotes. It all ties together. A switch is clicked. You will WOW. I've not heard of one person that was not affected in a positive way by this movie. THOUGHT has POWER. THOUGHT creates. THOUGHT manifests. If you BELIEVE and FEEL what you want, it must become reality. It is LAW, the LAW of attraction.

It is life changing...

Many do not realize how much negative thought is in their lives. This is how it works. Say you get a bill in the mail and think..

"I want more money to pay this bill..." at that very moment your wish is coming true, it is 'in the works' by the law of attraction BUT then the next moment you think...

"oh jeez, I'll never be able to pay all my bills" you just beat the drum of a negative thought making that negative thought over-ride the positive one thus 'blocking' the allowance of good things. SO voila, you are stuck in a rut!

WHY you think you CAN'T, WHY you CAN

WHY you think you CAN'T

When we come into this world, we are curious children, nothing can stop us, we have no fear, no boundaries - other than what we are taught. Curious by nature we explore and take chances. Fearless by nature we expore further and take MORE chances. Then we are told 'no don't do that, no you can't do that, stop doing that you'll get hurt, don't climb so high you'll fall, don't touch that you'll get burned, don't eat that you'll get stick, don't - no - don't- no...." We are in essence 'programmed' to accept that we cannot do things. We naturally start thinking "I can't do that...." Some people even stop 'trying'.

The thought process

Unfortunately some people carry this with them through life. The curiosity for trying new things is gone. The fear of trying new things is in stone. They no longer have the fight, the fire to try something new. They are fearful if they try something new they will get hurt, fall or get burned....So they don't, they stay right where they are in their 9-5 job, same schedule, day in, day out.

Now is it really you 'CAN'T' or is it really you 'WON'T'

Though you may have been 'trained' to be the way you are, you CAN break OUT of this pattern of being stuck in the 'I can't' rut. Now try this. When I was little, jeez, probably into my teen years my Dad would always say something. It stuck in my head. Even though when we grow up and hear it we hate it, it does sink in. Whenever I'd say "AHH I can't do this oral report in front of the class!" - "I can't pass this test!" - "I can't 'this' or 'that'..." My Dad would stop me and say "Hey princess, replace 'can't' with 'won't' and it will change your thinking. It's true. Saying you 'can't' is basically stopping yourself from succeeding. You are inhibiting your growth, you are ceasing the flow of success to you. Using 'won't' just shows you how negative the word 'can't' really is. Every time you want to use the word 'can't' say 'won't' instead.

For instance....

• I can't replace my income = I won't replace my income.
• I can't have financial freedom = I won't have financial freedom.
• I can't be home with the kids - I won't be home with the kids.
• I can't go on vacation = I won't go on vacation.

How true it is, by saying you can't you ARE saying you won't because you WON'T let it happen!

Ease up this is WHY you CAN!
Simply change your thought process. (What?) Yes, I said change your thought process. (Whatever!) That is just the exact 'I can't' attitude I'm talking about! You shot out with 2 negatives there, now let's make those 2 negatives a positive, okay? Follow me...
Is it I CAN or I WILL?

Now let's kick it up a notch "BAM!" Change your thought process to I CAN... I CAN take chances, I CAN be curious, I CAN try something new. Good, feels great huh? Now think of something you've been saying you 'can't' do....Maybe write it down...Now write it again and say you CAN do it. Feels good? Now that's a move in the right direction. Now again change your thought process to I WILL... I WILL take chances, I WILL be curious, I WILL try something new. Your heart should be beating a little faster, feeling a flutter of excitement within. Now write it again except say you WILL. Now you are floating huh? This is because you are ALLOWING it. Affirm this message to yourself every day. "I CAN and I WILL because I ALLOW it to come to me!"
Positive Thinking

I simply cannot reiterate enough how important it is to think POSITIVE! Our negative thoughts are weaker than postive ones, so use positive thoughts to over write the negatives. It may seem far fetched, but once you 'get it' you 'get it'. It's the Law Of Attraction, it's popping up everywhere. Books, movies... Why do you keep seeing it pop up? Watch for the sign and learn about it - it will change your life!

Use Positive Thinking in every aspect of your life...

The biggest 'why' of all...

My biggest why...

...is my daughter! I worked F/T outside the home and missed her first 3 years of life. Well, that's how I feel! First roll over, first tooth, first step...

From the time I was pregnant...

...until my daughter was 3 years old I searched and searched for a way to be home. Finally in the Spring of 2002 I just walked in and quit. It was the best thing I did and I never looked back!

Catching Stars!

Things are coming into place, stars are within reach, dreams are coming true. I LOVE working at home, getting up early, waking up my daughter, eating breakfast together and walking her to school. I know she gets there safe, and she knows I'll be there to meet her after school to walk home too. It is such a joy to be here for her, not daycare, not after school care - ME! MOMMY!

Other great reasons...

...about working at home. I don't have to miss work to go to the dentist, I don't have to take on of my sick days if my daughter gets ill.

My home business helped me make a new friend...

Meet Bodhi, my newest friend!
My home business helped my family get Bodhi, a pure bred, AKC registered Boxer from Champion lines. Isn't he handsome? He is a Classic Fawn, those wrinkles are just so kissable and his super short fur feels like velvet!
If I did not work at home...
...a Boxer would not have been a good fit for our family. Boxers need lots of interaction and attention - and WOW does he get a lot of it! I can see a huge difference in his behavior vs dogs of times past. In 1995 we got a Mastiff/Lab puppy, my husband and I both worked full time so he was alone for over 9 hours a day and we just felt horrible. I can't imagine leaving Bodhi alone for that long! No wonder why at 6 months Bear ate our entire couch (literally, down to the wood frame). I'm older, wiser and I've done my breed research!
Because I'm home with puppy...
He is already 95% potty trained! He is only 9 weeks old and the only accidents he has are if I don't see him asking to go outside. Our previous pooch was not fully trained until he was about 16 weeks which is pretty average. He also will come by name and actually understands the 'sit' command already!

I am honored to work at home and feel so blessed, Bodhi is truly a fur angel and this candle lady's new best friend! He sleeps at my feet in my home office, follows me, talks to me, listens to me - what more could I ask?

Where did the time go???

WOW - August flew by!

I can't believe it was the 10th when I posted last ~ whew! We've been pretty busy around here!

New Puppy

On the 12th we got a new Boxer Puppy - he's been keeping me pretty busy entertaining (playing and giving toys), training (potty OUTSIDE!) and intervening (no don't eat that!!!).

Daughter's Birthday

My gorgeous princess turned 8 this month - talk about time flying! She had a birthday party with family and friends from school - a wild and crazy afternoon!

Mom in Town

My Mom came out for a week from Santa Fe, we were going, going, going! It was a lot of fun, I wish she was still here!

School Starts Monday

My kiddo will start 3rd grade on Monday (double WOW) so the summer has come to an end and it's time to go crazy for the Fall/Winter/Holiday candle season! Whoo hooo!

Playing catch up!

Now that the dust is settling, time for me to catch up on house cleaning and my favorite thing - my candle business! I have a million-and-one things to do!

I love it!

I enjoy setting my own schedule, so I can do what I want when I want! What a true blessing!

Hole In One!

Greetings,

Hole in ONE!
You know that feeling, when you get a hole in one? EVEN if it's just mini golf, you shout out a little hoot and dance a little jig... That's how I feel every day when I wake up!

I LOVE what I do!
It is so easy to get out of bed when you are excited about your business! I can't sleep in any more, the sun rises and I'm up! I head out back in the warm summer sun and water my garden, growing up with beautiful flowers, herbs and some veggies too! Our grass is lush and green (thanks hubby!) It is such a blessing with panoramic mountain views and clean air!

After I enjoy my gardening...
I boot up the computer to start the day! What an easy commute! Down the hall, no traffic except for a sleepy husband merging towards the shower or dog herding me towards the back door. I make my smoothie, sit down and get to work.
