Home Business : Which company do I choose?

Home Business : Which company do I choose?

Once you've done your research and have found your passion, the next step is to find a company. There are many to choose from; some have been around 1 year and some have been around over 30 years. How do you know which one is for you?

Contrast and Compare

Myself being in the industry since 2004, I often 'shop' other companies in the direct sales/home party/mlm industries. I want to be on the up and up when someone approaches me with a question about the competition.

These are the questions I ask...

Joining Questions
  • How much is it to join?
  • Is there a monthly minimum purchase requirement?
  • What is the distributor discount when purchasing product?
  • Do I get this discount up front, or is it paid later as a commission?
Website Questions
  • Does the company provide a distributor website?
  • Is there a cost for this website?
  • Does the website have a web store?
  • If yes: How much commission will I earn from the web store?
  • Will purchases from the web store count towards my monthly purchase requirement?
Materials
  • What are the cost of materials such as catalogs, fundraiser forms, etc?
  • How frequently are these forms updated?
Company Training
  • What kind of training is provided by the company? (reading materials, calls, etc...)
Team Building
  • How much do I earn for building a team?
  • What percentage do I earn from my downline?
  • Am I paid on the full retail or a commissionable volume?
  • How many levels deep can I be paid?
  • As my team grows, does my monthly personal volume requirement increase?
  • Can I ever 'lose' my team?
  • Can I ever slip back to a lower level or lose my position if my team size or volume decreases?
General
  • Say I work this business for 10 years and want to stop working it, will I still receive a residual income check from the team I've built?
  • Can I bequeath my distributorship (residual income) to a family member? (meaning can you transfer to a family member if you pass away and can they continue to get the income from the business you worked so hard to build)
How to earn
  • How many ways can I earn money with the company?
  • Am I required to utilize all these ways?
Marketing
  • How are we allowed to market the company and opportunity?
  • Are there any ad restrictions? (i.e. web marketing rules, print ad rules, etc...)
A general rule of thumb...
Take your notes, apply the facts and do the math! Today I spoke with yet another company and asked all the questions above, did the math and found I am making far more money with my current company than if I were with the other.

Choosing a Sponsor

Finding Your Niche in Network Marketing

Greetings,

What Works for Someone Else, may not work for you...

Well, in the past I tried plastic ware, party wares, skin care, pantry fare, cleaning products and vitamins. Each company I thought...
  • 'wow, how easy people LOVE plastic storage!'
  • 'wow, how easy everyone has birthday parties!'
  • 'wow, how easy people want to look younger!'
  • 'wow, how easy everyone wants food!'
  • 'wow, how easy everyone wants natural cleaning products!'
  • 'wow, how easy everyone wants to be healthy!
Finding Your Niche

The key to this industry is finding YOUR niche. Though plastic ware did not work for me I know people at the top of the company. Though skin care was not for me I know people driving white Mercedes. Those companies were their niches, my niche is something totally different!

Your Niche is your PASSION
To pin point your niche, you have to find your passion. You need to find a product that...
  • ...you will use daily.
  • ...you love and stand behind.
  • ...you can easily talk to others about.
You see once you find your passion the rest is as easy as 123. Not 'easy' in the sense of not putting in effort. But easy in the sense of it coming naturally to you.

Let's see if our passions connect!

So you want to be Successful?

Greetings!

Success :: The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted: attributed their success in business to hard work.

So how DOES one measure success? For me success is a series of steps, each step up the ladder being a new goal, each new goal being closer to the top. My first 'success' was quitting my job in 2002 so I could work at home. I wanted to be home with my daughter, I quit my job which equals success. I wanted to be home, I made it happen!

Success is NOT a GAMBLE...

Many people ONLY see success as cash in hand, however it is so much more. You can count your money while sittin' at the table but what does that do? It shows you how much money you have.

Success IS a way of THINKING...

"Think and Grow Rich".... "Believe and Achieve"... "Thoughts are things".... "You'll SEE it when you BELIEVE it..." All quotes from famous authors who all know the same thing, you have to 'feel' successful to make it happen. In your mind you have to 'be' successful to make it happen.

Succession :: The act of succeeding, or following after; a following of things in order of time or place, or a series of things so following

Ever notice how those two words are so similar? Success and Succession? They clearly show that success is a path of following the leader. Learn from those who have already done what you want to do. Why reinvent the wheel? Drive the road already paved to success, duplicate the steps and climb the ladder before you!

Are YOU ready for Success?

Tuesday

24 Hours in a Day, Use' em right or LOSE 'em!

Greetings,

24 Hours in a Day, use 'em the RIGHT way!

24 hours, 1440 minutes, 86,400 seconds - do you utilize your time wisely? Each moment ticks past quickly, are you valuing each second of time? Sixty clicks, a minute, sixty minutes, an hour... What IS it you are doing with your time?

If you say you can't get it all done...

...you really are saying "Well I farted around so much today I did not get it all done!" If you set a schedule, have a list of chores, and set out to do them you can but...

...it's easy to get SIDETRACKED!

When building a home based business many people choose to build using the computer. This can indeed be a very valuable tool, IF, it is used properly... Many people tend to get sidetracked (aka find ways to procrastinate from what they really should be doing) on the www. They go on the web looking for one thing that is related to their home business, then they find something else on accident, which leads them to something else interesting, which leads them to a funny video, which they have to then email to a co-worker, and while in the email box they decide to check all the messages, where they get an email from an old friend, then they buzz that person on IM, then they get in a long winded chat about the weather, so on and so on...

...3 hours later...

...nothing is done! You've not showered, you have a load of laundry in the washer and an unfolded load in the dryer with 2 loads sitting in baskets. Dishes in the sink, fuzzballs on the carpet, the bed is not made and it's about time to go get the kiddo from the bus. You still have work to do and now dinner is looming in your mind. So much to do, so few hours left, why?

You pause briefly...

...to consider why nothing is done. You say to yourself "I've been busy all day, but I've gotten nothing done!"

DING DING DING

You WIN! Yes, you've been busy, that's the truth - just not focused on the desired result. You need to have some organization and some structure. Set realistic goals for yourself and you can complete everything on your to do list in record time and THEN have bonus minutes to fart around to your hearts desire.

If you find you are having many unproductive days, do this...

...write down everything you do and how long it takes! Starting with getting up and every single thing you do noting the times. Track when you first put that load of laundry in the washer, when it actually gets the dryer, and when it really gets out of the dryer (you know when it's been so long it's not even warm any more!) This will help you see how you are alloting your time each day. You can see when you are a bizzy bee flitting around to the many flowers in the field buzzing along humming 'la la la la'!

Reality Check!

Now, if you are ready to get organized and make some money let's chat! First fill out the short form in the side column and request info on this home based candle biz. Then visit my website to learn about me and my candle biz and you'll see how this biz can easily fit into any lifestyle. I look forward to chatting with you!

"The Secret" in a 1975 Children's Book...

Greetings!

The Green Seagull and the 'Secret'

As you may already know, I am a big fan of "The Secret" movie and book on the Law of Attraction. It seems reminders of this pop up often and in unexpected places when we need a little boost of getting thoughts going in the right direction.

Recently my daughter found a series of books I got during the 70's and early 80's by Serendipity Books. A series by Stephen Cosgrove and Robin James where whimsical characters go on adventures, each one teaching a thoughtful, moral story.

We've been reading these books together and last night one of the books she chose was "Jake O'Shawnasey". It's a book about a green seagull who cannot fly. Well, actually what happens is each time he takes flight, his doubt overcomes him and he falls. He does not 'believe' he can fly, and the moment he stops believeing, he falls.

So a wise owl in the book tell him that he needs to know the 'Secret' and to find out the 'Secret' he needs to get to the top of a very high cliff. Jake makes his way up the cliff determined to find the 'Secret" and when he gets to the top and on a boulder the following is inscribed:

"If you find you're not believeing
In everything you do...
Just remember lots of trying
Will bring confidence to you"

After reading the inscription Jake realized that if he has confidence in what he is doing, and if he believes in himself than he can learn to fly. He proclaims..
"I know I can do it! I know I can fly! I really and truly believe in myself!"
...and he takes flight....

'Secret' to 'The Secret' past to present...

I got tears in my eyes. I was in awe that I was taught 'The Secret' back when I was my daughter's age. It was even called the 'Secret' in the book. Capital 'S' and all!

It simply shows you that experience the teaching of the Law of Attraction our entire lives. In my case I did not learn how to harness this energy until I was in my 30's. But WOW, just WOW.... I mean down to the exact moment, you must believe in order to achieve. You must have full and complete confidence and 'know' while believing in yourself.

..."I can do it..."

My daughter asked why I was crying, as it was a happy book. I told her I was happy, happy that she is reading the same books with me that my Mom, her Nana, read with me when I was her age... I asked her what the book meant to her, she said 'if I believe I can do it, I can'.

My precious, on her way to making all her dreams come true....

Can YOU do it? Do you believe in YOU?

"The Secret" has changed my life. are you ready to walk through open doors and make a change in YOUR life?  Let's work together to make it happen!

Have an ENLIGHTENED Day!

Sincerely,

Alethea Anderson

Always smiling, believing and achieving!

"Keep moving forward...."

Greetings,

Quote ::

"Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
–Walt Disney

A Story ::

Yesterday I took my daughter to see the new Disney movie called "Meet the Robinsons" It started out with and original black and white Micky Mouse movie with Micky, Donald and Goofy. The movie patrons were chatting among themselves thinking perhaps the wrong reel was set in motion. Where was the movie they had paid to see... I too was wondering this, until the end of the movie...

The Movie ::

'Meet the Robinsons' is a fantastic movie, not the 'funny' sort of movie I expected, but more of a 'moral' movie that really opened my eyes to so many of the things I already experience daily. I won't tell you the plot of movie in case you plan to see it, but I will tell you it inspired me.

A Cartoon ::

This cartoon about a boy who almost gave up, then was inspired to 'keep moving forward' to follow his passion and dream. He realized that giving up could completly change his outcome in life years later. So 'keep moving forward' became his motto...

Giving Up ::

I see so many people who 'try' someting then give up saying, "well I tried, it just did not work so I decided to quit..." POOF, simply saying 'I'm done, I'm not going to try anymore, I can't do it, I'm a failure..."

The Difference ::

The difference between success and failure is that if you never failed at anything how would you learn to do it better? When you were a baby learning to walk, and fell over and over and over, did you give up? NO! You had a PASSION to walk like the big kids and you kept trying until you mastered it! When you were older learning to ride a bike, you fell, scraped your knees, crashed into things, bloody and hurt, did you give up? NO! You had a PASSION to ride like the big kids and you kept trying until you mastered it!

Where is that DRIVE?

Where is that drive you had as a kid? The 'I won't give up' passion to grow up, move forward and accomplish your goals? Reach inside and FEEL that passion! Bring it to the surface, imagine how you felt when you took those first steps. Imagine the freedom you felt as you were floating across the concrete pedaling those pedals... Grab that feeling and hold onto it, that's the feeling you are reaching for in home business success...

Micky Mouse!

Above I mentioned how they played an old Mickey Mouse movie, and everyone was wondering why... As soon as they showed Walt Disney's quote I at the close of the movie I 'got it'. That Mickey Mouse clip is where it all started... Walt Disney had a cartoon, and a passion, that grew into a World Wide Empire. Now, many years after his passing his PASSION is still shared across the World with his movies, his theme parks and so much more. He made his mark on this world - he decided to 'keep moving forward....' and his legacy continues!

Are you ready to move forward?

Have you been considering working from home?  Do you have a PASSION for success?  Let's work together to see how we can make this happen for you!

Have an ENLIGHTENED Day!

Like No One Is Watching...and how it relates!

Like No One Is Watching
Shake Your Tail Feathers

From DailyOm.com

Most of us express our distinctiveness in many ways throughout our lives. Although, as we proudly share our offbeat traits and preferences with the world, we take great pains to downplay those eccentricities we ourselves deem odd. Instead of living lives colored by these quirky impulses, we seek out socially acceptable outlets for our peculiarities. We may not realize that we are editing ourselves in this way because our individual societal awareness is unintentionally attuned to the attitudes of the people we encounter each day. Over time, we have learned to suppress some of the most fun aspects of individuality. To rediscover and embrace these buried traits, we need only ask ourselves what we would do if we knew for certain that no one would judge our choices.

Visualizing this day without judgment can help you better understand the idiosyncrasies that are an important part of who you are but seldom manifest themselves in your existence. Perhaps you secretly dream of replacing grown-up, conservative clothing in favor of a changing array of costumes. You may envision yourself painting your car electric-green, hugging the trees in a crowded local park, singing joyous songs as you skip through your community, or taking up an exciting hobby like fire spinning. Try not to be surprised, however, if your imagination takes you in unexpectedly simple directions. In your musings, you may see yourself doing things such as breaking out in dance or dying your hair a fun color. Regardless of the nature of your suppressed peculiarities, ask yourself what is really stopping you from making them a part of your life, and then resolve to incorporate at least one into your everyday existence.

Life as we know it is so short. Making the most of years we are granted is a matter of being ourselves even though we know that we will inevitably encounter people who disapprove of our choices. When you shake your tail feathers like no one is watching, you will discover that there are many others who appreciate you because you are willing to let go of any inhibition. By doing this you help others know it is okay. No one else in the world is precisely like you and, each time you revel in this simple fact, you rededicate yourself to the celebration of individuality.

...my comments!

I find this often relates to those willing to open the cage door and spread their wings trying a new home business. I have met many whom have the spark blazing in a fire of desire wanting to grow their new business. Often times those around them, most often family and friends seem to damper the flame...

Why?

It would seem that those closest to us would embrace our new ventures, however many find that those closest are the most harsh... "Why are you doing THAT?" ~ "You've never done anything like that before how will you be successful?" ~ "Psssshst I'm not buying any!"

Those little comments...

...can run a newbie's esteem right into the ground and make them shut their cage door before even soaring to new heights!

How to overcome!

Like the article above, keep on going no matter the disaproval you receive. Keep 'shaking those tail feathers' and soon those who DO support you will 'flock' to you. You'll have a nest full of other tail feather shakers who agree with you, respect you and help you grow! Even Oprah, Donald Trump and other multi-billion dollar moguls had their share of negative comments - and you know what I've seen BOTH of them 'shake it' on TV!

Come on, let's shake it!

If you think Network Marketing is hard... "You're joking, right?"

Greetings!

I wanted to share this Article by Tim Sales of BrilliantExchange.com ~ don't let your dreams escape you because you think something is hard!

****************************************
****************************************

"If you think Network Marketing is hard...."

I was at a table where a bunch of distributors were talking between themselves and each got on the band wagon and threw in their own proof of how "hard this business is.

"I let the pity party continue for a while then finally exclaimed,"You're joking, right?"

If ever you could have heard a pin drop it would have been at that moment.

Let me describe my view on the subject and then I'll write what I told the people sitting at that table. I'm doing this in hopes that you too will stop or will leave the pity party when you hear it. Your success depends on it.

To be able to see my view, allow me to take you back to just prior to my entering M.L.M.

The year was 1987. I was with the US Navy's underwater bomb squad team in the Persian Gulf. Our "job" was to locate and defuse the bombs that were in the Gulf. Of course that's plenty dangerous - but the sea snakes bothered us just as much.

Sea snakes are extremely territorial and the most toxic of all snakes. So imagine defusing a live bomb while looking over your shoulder for sea snakes - that's quite a distraction!

Fortunately sea snakes don't have long fangs so we would wear 1/2 inch thick wet suits as a safety precaution. It's difficult for the snakes to penetrate the skin through a 1/2 inch wet suit. But wearing a thick wetsuit is an additional problem because with the outside temperature between 100 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit (38-49 Celsius) it's extremely hot wearing a 1/2 inch wetsuit in that heat.

Oh, I almost forgot the other hazard - the enemy. The enemy is someone whose intention is to kill you if he sees you.

So that was my life leading up to me answering an ad in the Washington Post for my network marketing company.

Now back to the discussion I was having at the table with the people who were complaining that network marketing is so "hard."My statement was, "You're joking, right?"

Then I went on to say some of the following:

What's hard? You sit on your butt in an air conditioned (or heated) room with your drink of preference on your desk. The bathroom is within a few feet of your office. Food is abundant. Your only distraction is your child or pet coming into the room ... what's hard about that?

In the bomb squad, for us to get to our work we had to sky dive in or row a boat in (underwater bombs don't like the sound of motor boats). For a network marketer to arrive at "work" they normally have to walk up or down some steps or down a hall - what's hard about that?

In the bomb squad, if we goof a little, we blow up. DEAD. If you are terrible on a phone call - NOTHING HAPPENS - you don't blow up - you don't die!
You call a prospect, he's not there. Go to the next one.You call a prospect, he's there but isn't interested. Go to the next one.

You call a prospect, he's there, agrees to watch a video and then won't answer the phone afterwards. Go to the next one.

You call a prospect, he's there, agrees to watch a video, you reach him for the follow-up - says it's not for him. Go to the next one.

You call a prospect, he's there, agrees to watch a video, on the follow up call he says he's super excited... but his wife won't let him do it. Go to the next one.

You call a prospect, he's there, agrees to watch a video, on the follow up he says - I want to do this. You sign him up, help him... and go to the next one. What's hard?

The only hard part is not knowing what to say to your prospect - That is all covered in Professional Inviter. Even if you call someone and get a super jerk on the phone, the worst he'll do is yell at you - so what? He's not going to shoot you!

Network marketing is NOT hard!

If you can't relate to my bomb squad examples or you're thinking I'm somehow different from you, let me tell you what I've observed in others.

A mother of a toddler lugs around a 25 - 35 lb. weight 18 hours a day. Tosses him from hip to hip. Hasn't had a good night's rest in 2 years. Changes diapers containing substances that don't look or smell like they're from this planet. The child runs through the living room with his arm out and cleans off the coffee table - does anything hit the floor? NO! His mother catches the vase and puts it back on the table, catches the tea glass before it spills and sets it back down. She glances up and sees her toddler has the family's picture and frame held above his head about to throw it and she (in an instant) steps over the coffee table and with one giant step reaches her toddler and pulls the picture frame from his hand before he throws it. This isn't work to her - this is "a joy." She says to her husband, "Honey, let's have another one."

A man decides to "take some time off from work." He plans a hiking trip. He loads everything he'll need to live for a few days in a backpack. It will weigh 50-80 lbs. He throws it on his shoulder and hikes straight up a hill. He'll sweat all day, not off and on, but the whole day. He'll pitch his tent at sun down; eat Cup-O-Soup by stirring in warm water.

He'll navigate tomorrow's journey in his tent with a flash light in his mouth. He'll sleep at a slant and on rocks and tree stumps. He'll wake in the morning, pack everything back in his pack and eat a protein bar for breakfast. He'll reach the summit and spend just a few minutes looking at the view of what he accomplished... then head back down. He arrives at his truck, tosses the backpack in the back of the truck and thinks, "I've gotta get back to work." Work? (!) He gets back home and his wife asks, "How was it?" His reply, "It was great!

"Now I urge you to have this same conversation with yourself. Look around at what you do that is hard work that you actually call play. Then compare that to what you do when you do network marketing... it's NOT hard and it's not work - it's great fun and a joy! And if it doesn't feel like that for you yet, it will, once you know the Inviting Formula, as contained in Professional Inviter.

Enjoy what you do,
Tim Sales

The Daffodil Principle

Greetings,

**I read this quite some time ago, and it came into my experience again via email. I wanted to share!

The Daffodil Principle

Several times my daughter had telephoned to say, "Mother, you must come to see the daffodils before they are over." I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead "I will come next Tuesday", I promised a little reluctantly on her third call. Next Tuesday dawned cold and rainy. Still, I had promised, and reluctantly I drove there. When I finally walked into Carolyn's house I was welcomed by the joyful sounds of happy children. I delightedly hugged and greeted my grandchildren. "Forget the daffodils, Carolyn! The road is invisible in these clouds and fog, and there is nothing in the world except you and these children that I want to see badly enough to drive another inch!" My daughter smiled calmly and said, "We drive in this all the time, Mother." "Well, you won't get me back on the road until it clears, and then I'm heading for home!" I assured her.

"But first we're going to see the daffodils. It's just a few blocks," Carolyn said. "I'll drive. I'm used to this." "Carolyn," I said sternly, "Please turn around." "It's all right, Mother, I promise. You will never forgive yourself if you miss this experience." After about twenty minutes, we turned onto a small gravel road and I saw a small church. On the far side of the church, I saw a hand lettered sign with an arrow that read, " Daffodil Garden." We got out of the car, each took a child's hand, and I followed Carolyn down the path. Then, as we turned a corner, I looked up and gasped. Before me lay the most glorious sight.

It looked as though someone had taken a great vat of gold and poured it over the mountain peak and its surrounding slopes. The flowers were planted in majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange, creamy white, lemon yellow, salmon pink, and saffron and butter yellow. Each different-colored variety was planted in large groups so that it swirled and flowed like its own river with its own unique hue. There were five acres of flowers. "Who did this?" I asked Carolyn. "Just one woman," Carolyn answered. "She lives on the property. That's her home." Carolyn pointed to a well-kept A-frame house, small and modestly sitting in the midst of all that glory. We walked up to the house. On the patio, we saw a poster. "Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking", was the headline. The first answer was a simple one. "50,000 bulbs," it read. The second answer was, "One at a time, by one woman. Two hands, two feet, and one brain." The third answer was, "Began in 1958." For me, that moment was a life-changing experience. I thought of this woman whom I had never met, who, more than forty years before, had begun, one bulb at a time, to bring her vision of beauty and joy to an obscure mountaintop. Planting one bulb at a time, year after year, this unknown woman had forever changed the world in which she lived. One day at a time, she had created something of extraordinary magnificence, beauty, and inspiration. The principle her daffodil garden taught is one of the greatest principles of celebration.

That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time--often just one baby-step at time--and learning to love the doing, learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things. We can change the world ... "It makes me sad in a way," I admitted to Carolyn. "What might I have accomplished if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five or forty years ago and had worked away at it 'one bulb at a time' through all those years? Just think what I might have been able to achieve!" My daughter summed up the message of the day in her usual direct way. "Start tomorrow," she said. She was right. It's so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays. The way to make learning a lesson of celebration instead of a cause for regret is to only ask, "How can I put this to use today?" Use the Daffodil Principle.

Stop waiting.....

Until your car or home is paid off Until you get a new car or home Until your kids leave the house Until you go back to school Until you finish school Until you clean the house Until you organize the garage Until you clean off your desk Until you lose 10 lbs. Until you gain 10 lbs. Until you get married Until you get a divorce Until you have kids Until the kids go to school Until you retire Until summer Until spring Until winter Until fall Until you die...There is no better time than right now to be happy.
  • Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
  • So work like you don't need money.
  • Love like you've never been hurt, and, Dance like no one's watching.
Wishing you a beautiful, daffodil day!
"Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin."

Asking For What You Want
Cocreating With The Universe

Most people don't always fully realize that we all have within us the ability to cocreate our lives with the universe. So many of us are taught to accept what we are given and not even to dream of anything more. But our hopes and dreams are the universe whispering to us, planting an idea of what's possible while directing us toward the best use of our gifts. The universe truly wants to give us our hearts' desires, but we need to be clear about what they are and ask for them.

To ask for something does not mean to beg or plead from a place of lack or unworthiness. It's like placing an order-we don't need to beg the salesperson for what we want or prove to them that we deserve to have it. It is their job to give us what we ask for; we only have to tell them what we want. Once we have a clear vision of what we desire, we simply step into the silent realm where all possibilities exist and let our desires be known. Whatever methods we use to become still, it is important that we find the quiet space between our thoughts.

From that still and quiet place, we can announce our intentions to the pure energy of creation. By imagining all the details from every angle, including scent, color, and how it would feel to have it, we design our dreams to our specifications. Similar to dropping a pebble into a pond, the ripples created by our thoughts travel quickly from this place of stillness, echoing out into the world to align and orchestrate all the necessary details to bring our desires into manifestation. Before leaving this wonderful space to come back to the world, release any attachment to the outcome and express gratitude. By doing this daily, we focus our thoughts and our energy while regularly mingling with the essence that makes it possible to build the life of our dreams.

Choices...

Greetings,

Choices...

I received this via email, I found it very inspiring and it shows how positive thought, mind over matter and the right 'choices' do have an impact on your life!

****************************************************************************

LET IT REALLY SINK IN - THEN CHOOSE.

John is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!" He was a natural motivator.

If an employee was having a bad day, John was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up and asked him, "I don't get it!
You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"

He replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or ... you can choose to be in a bad mood. I choose to be in a good mood."

Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or...I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it.

Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or... I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life.

"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.

"Yes, it is," he said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people affect your mood.

You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live your life."

I reflected on what he said. Soon hereafter, I left the Tower Industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that he was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.

After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, he was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.

I saw him about six months after the accident.

When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins Wanna see my scars?"

I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place. "The first thing that went through my mind was the well-being of my soon-to-be born daughter," he replied. "Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or...I could choose to die. I chose to live."

"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. He continued, "..the paramedics were great.

They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read 'he's a dead man'. I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said John. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes, I replied.' The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Gravity'."

Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."

He lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude... I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34.

After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

*******************************************************************************

"After all today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday"

I'd like to touch on this final sentence...This surrounds the complete concept that thoughts are things. If you worry that something will happen tomorrow, you are projecting that worry to the universe and manifesting the 'worries' into reality.

If you knew the power of thought you'd never thing a negative thing again...

Have you ever noticed in those around you, those who say "I'm always sick I will never get better" ~ are truly always sick? What about those who say "I will never have enough money to pay all my bills" They never do, do they? They are projecting those thoughts into 'things' and creating their reality based on their pattern of negative thought.

BE positive LIVE positive...

Have you noticed those who say "I will have that new gadget in a month" or "I'll have a new car in 6 months" ~ they DO! Why? They thought positive and created their reality.

Give it a try, see what happens!

I love teaching the ways of positive thought and the Universal Law of Attraction, feel free to drop me a line and we can chat about it!
